Goa College of Home Science Hosts Purnatva 1.0: A Grand Celebration of Talent and Creativity

Goa/Panaji, March 11, 2025 – The Students’ Council of Goa College of Home Science, Campal, successfully hosted the first edition of Purnatva, an intercollegiate event that brought together students from nine colleges across Goa. With the theme “College Life as a Journey of Self-Discovery,” the event featured competitions like Street Play, Photography, Meme Making, Reel Making, and Flag Making, celebrating the creativity and experiences of student life.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Sobita Kirtani, Asst. Prof. and In-Charge of the Department of Psychology, Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science who unveiled the trophies, marking the beginning of a day filled with engaging performances and spirited competition. After an exciting series of events, The Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Khandola emerged as the winners, receiving a trophy and a cash prize of ₹15,000. The Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi, secured the runners-up position, winning a trophy and ₹10,000, while the second runners-up, Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science, Margao, took home a trophy and ₹5,000.

The event concluded with a grand valedictory ceremony, where Mr. Rajesh Ghadge, Founder of Goa Prism Digital Media and exclusive magazine partner for the event, gave away the trophies to the winners. The competition was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Offg. Principal Professor Mahesh Pai and Asst. Professor Ms. Mitzi Mukerjie, Chairperson of the Students’ Council along with student coordinators Taysha Cabral (General Secretary) and Tanvi Kapdi (Cultural Secretary).

With its resounding success, Purnatva 1.0 has set the stage for even bigger editions ahead!
