Hyderabad, 17th March 2025 : The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) recently hosted a high-profile delegation from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD – German Academic Exchange Service) to explore avenues for enhancing academic and research collaborations between Germany and India. The 20-member delegation, comprising Rectors and Vice-Chancellors from top German universities, visited IIT Hyderabad as part of an informative tour organized by DAAD, aimed at expanding Indo-German academic partnerships.

The visit, which was attended by prominent members such as Dr. Kai Sicks, General Secretary of DAAD, Ms. Kathrin Misera-Lang, Consul General at the German Consulate in Chennai, and Prof. B S Murty, Director of IITH, focused on strengthening collaborations in key areas including faculty and student exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and the establishment of dual-degree programs.
