IUST organizes Entrepreneurship Exposure Program
Jammu-Kashmir / Pulwama / Awantipora : The Department of Economics, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), organized an Entrepreneurship Orientation Program under the Industry Connect vertical of the Dean Outreach.
Held at the JKEDI campus, the program aimed to inspire students towards entrepreneurship and experts from JKEDI discussed the formulation and significance of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and other aspects, besides introducing students to various verticals and functions of JKEDI, along with internship and training opportunities offered by the institute.
Students also interacted with successful entrepreneurs, who shared their inspiring journeys and encouraged students to explore innovative career paths. Prof. S.M. Shafi, Head Department of Economics, IUST, highlighted the role of startups in tackling employment challenges, especially in emerging economies. The program was coordinated by Dr. Shumila Cheshti (Departmental Coordinator, Industry Connect) with support from other faculty members of the department.
