Indian Maritime University conducted a successful cleanship drive

Navi Mumbai : In a continued effort to promote environmental sustainability and social responsibility, the cadets of the IMU Navi Mumbai Campus (T S Chanakya) conducted a successful cleanship drive at the scenic Lake off Palm Beach Road, Nerul, following the Chhath Puja celebrations.

The initiative, held on 10th November, aimed to clean the area of plastic waste and litter, which accumulated after the festive activities. A dedicated team of cadets from NMC-TSC took charge of the cleanup, covering a stretch of approximately 500 meters along the lake.

The cadets worked diligently to collect plastic waste, discarded items, and litter, ensuring the area was restored to its natural beauty. The initiative was well-received by local residents and morning walkers who frequent the lake, with many citizens of Nerul applauding the cadets for their initiative and sense of responsibility towards keeping the environment clean. The positive feedback from the community highlighted the importance of such efforts in fostering a cleaner, greener Navi Mumbai.
