Voter Pledge Ceremony Held at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College & Hospital
Ceremony Held as Part of Republic India @75 Fortnight Celebrations
Faridkot : A Voter Pledge Ceremony was held on 24 January 2025 in the Nuclear Medicine Hall of Guru Gobind Singh Medical College & Hospital, Faridkot, as part of the ongoing Republic India @75 Fortnight Celebrations. The ceremony was conducted as per government instructions, with the aim of reaffirming the importance of democratic participation ahead of National Voter’s Day, observed on January 25, 2025.


During the ceremony, Dr Rajiv Joshi, Controller of Examinations, BFUHS, administered the Voter Pledge to the attendees in the presence of Prof Dr Rajeev Sood, Vice Chancellor of BFUHS. Dr Sood highlighted the significance of active voter participation in strengthening democratic values and urged everyone to fulfill their constitutional duties sincerely.
The event was attended by the Dean of Faculty of Nursing Sciences, Principals of nursing colleges across Punjab, Dr Rohit Chopra (Additional Registrar), and other university officers and officials. Faculty members, staff, and students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their commitment to democracy.
Prof Dr Rajeev Sood commended the initiative as an essential component of the Republic India @75 Fortnight Celebrations and reiterated the responsibility of every citizen to contribute meaningfully to the democratic process.
The ceremony concluded with a collective pledge by all attendees to uphold the democratic principles and participate actively in the electoral process.
