Vice-Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Chakrawal Released at World Book Fair

Two books edited by Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal, Vice-Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), Bilaspur—a Central University and NAAC A++ accredited institution—were released at the World Book Fair, New Delhi, on January 12, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
The books titled Bhartiya Gyan Parampara and Sant Shiromani Guru Ghasidas: Darshan (Vartman mein Prasangikta) were formally released by Shri Atul Kothari, National Secretary, Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Alok Kumar Chakrawal, editor of both the books, stated that Bhartiya Gyan Parampara emphasizes the preservation and revitalization of India’s ancient cultural and intellectual heritage in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He informed that the University has officially adopted the concept of “One Nation, One Name—Bharat,” and the book will serve as a strong literary foundation in the field of teaching and learning.
Highlighting the relevance of the second book, Sant Shiromani Guru Ghasidas: Darshan (Vartman mein Prasangikta), the Vice-Chancellor said that a Research Chair has been established at the University in the name of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji. Through this initiative, Baba Ji’s philosophy—particularly the principle of “Manakhé-Manakhé Ek Samaan” (All human beings are equal)—is being propagated as a form of social and moral education. He added that the teachings of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji hold immense relevance in contemporary education and society.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Atul Kothari, National Secretary, Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, appreciated Prof. Chakrawal for undertaking the challenging task of editing scholarly works while discharging his academic and administrative responsibilities. He remarked that both books would provide strong intellectual support to the implementation of NEP 2020 and inspire the youth to understand and engage with Indian philosophy and knowledge traditions.
Dignitaries present on the dais included Shri Suresh Gupta and Shri Sanjay Swami from Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, New Delhi, and Shri Prashant Jain from Kitabwale Publications. Both books have been edited by Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal, Vice-Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya.
