Researchers from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana, have brought international acclaim to the institution after their research work was recognized among the Top 10 Most Cited Articles in the prestigious journal Science in One Health, published by Elsevier.

In recognition of this significant academic achievement, the authors were awarded a “Certificate of High Citation Impact” by the journal, highlighting the global relevance and scholarly influence of their research.

Award-Winning Research on Zoonotic Diseases

The honor was jointly conferred upon Dr. Manjeet Sharan, Dr. Deepthi Vijay, Dr. Jay Prakash Yadav, Dr. Jasbir Singh Bedi, and Dr. Pankaj Dhaka for their highly cited article titled:

“Surveillance and response strategies for zoonotic diseases: a comprehensive review.”

The publication has received over 100 citations within a year, underscoring its strong impact in advancing the One Health framework, which integrates human, animal, and environmental health.

The study provides a comprehensive synthesis of surveillance systems, early warning mechanisms, and coordinated response strategies for zoonotic diseases.
