Veer Narmad South Gujarat University Holds Inauguration and Bhoomipujan Ceremony for Development Projects
Surat : Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat, organised a grand Inauguration and Bhoomipujan Ceremony for multiple infrastructure and development projects at the University Convention Hall on Friday.
The prestigious ceremony was held in the gracious presence of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Harshabhai Sanghviji and was presided over by the Hon’ble Chancellor of the University, Dr. Kishore Singh N. Chavda.

Dignitaries and Participants
The programme witnessed the presence of University General Secretary Dr. R. C. Garhvi, members of the Board of Management, Executive Council, office-bearers of statutory bodies, academic and administrative staff of the university and affiliated colleges, representatives from print and digital media, along with a large number of students.

Five Major Projects Inaugurated and Launched
During the ceremony, five significant development projects were inaugurated and their Bhoomipujan was performed. The projects include:
- Kalpataru – Health, Wealth and Service Centre (Inauguration)

Chancellor Highlights 60 Years of University Legacy
In his presidential address, Chancellor Dr. Kishore Singh N. Chavda reflected on the glorious 60-year history of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. He welcomed the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and all dignitaries, stating that these development projects would significantly enhance student facilities, quality education, research, innovation, and overall institutional growth.
He also appreciated the enthusiasm of the youth and the continuous support of the Gujarat Government, expressing confidence in Gujarat’s future role in national and international events, including the Commonwealth and Olympic Games.

Deputy Chief Minister Encourages Youth to Dream Big
Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Harshabhai Sanghviji congratulated the university for undertaking impactful development initiatives. Recalling his personal association with VNSGU, he praised its academic excellence and rich cultural environment.
He highlighted Gujarat’s comprehensive development under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, emphasizing that youth are the backbone of national and state development. He urged students to dream big, remain disciplined, work hard, and build self-confidence to achieve their goals.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, University General Secretary Dr. R. C. Garhvi delivered the vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, guests, faculty members, students, and media representatives for their presence and support.
