National Workshop on Statistical Data Analysis at CUH
Mahendergarh : Department of Statistics, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh organized the 6th edition of the one-week national workshop on the topic of Statistical Data Analysis using SPSS and R from 17-21 march. The aim of the workshop is to address the existing need of the various statistical tools in data analysis. This workshop is the platform to discuss the current advances in the applications of statistical tools. The objective is to enhance the knowledge of participants who want to become researchers, the workshop is designed with a focus on faculty members, research scholars, postgraduate and undergraduate students from all the disciplines
Speaking about the workshop Vice Chancellor, Central University of Haryana Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar this workshop is the need of time that will help the young researchers to utilize these application in their innovative research work related to different disciplines like statistics, mathematics, psychology, medical science, education etc.
Prof. Ranjan Kumar Sahoo gave a brief introduction about the department. Dr. Vinay Kumar, Co-Convener of the workshop, welcomed all participants and gave a brief discussion of the workshop. Speaking about the significance of this workshop, Dr. Pavitra Kumari, Organizing Secretory of the workshop, said, “Presently, the whole world is consumed with statistical tools. The workshop on ‘statistical data analysis’ will provide an exposure of some of the basic as well as the advanced concepts of the statistical techniques to the participants. The hands-on training sessions on R and SPSS during the lecture is the highlights of this workshop. This workshop will help participants in gaining knowledge of various statistical tools using SPSS and R software.
The inaugural session of the workshop commenced with Prof. Antresh Kumar introducing the Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Haryana (CUH), to the participants. Dr. Ravinder Singh, Convener of the workshop, expressed gratitude by delivering the vote of thanks for the session. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished faculty members and research scholars, including Dr. Pawan Kumar, Dr. Tarun Kumar, Dr. Anoop Kumar, Dr. Priya Yadav, Ms. Anju Grewal, and Ms. Rinku Poonia, who actively participated in the inaugural proceedings. The participants include faculties, research scholars, postgraduate and undergraduate students from reputed colleges and universities across the country, BHU, NIT Kurukshetra, ICAR, Amity University, University of Jammu, CCSHAU, Kurukshetra University, LPU, University of Lucknow, CUH, CU Punjab, and Punjabi University. In this workshop Prof. Arvind Pandey, Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer, Dr. Kapil Kumar, CCS University, Meerut, Dr. Devendra Kumar, University of Delhi, Dr. Rahul Varshney and Dr. Subhash Kumar Yadav from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, Dr. Dushyant Tyagi, Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow, Prof. Masood H. Siddiqui, Dr. Ashok Kumar from University of Lucknow and Dr. Joginder Kumar, Assistant Scientist in college of Agriculture, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University, Rohtak, will be the resource persons for this workshop
