Nagaland University Professor Honoured with Senior Scientist 2024 Award for Excellence in Solid Waste Management

New Delhi / Nagaland : Prof. Ashutosh Tripathi, Professor and Head of the Department of Environmental Science at Nagaland University, has been conferred with the prestigious Senior Scientist 2024 Award for his exceptional contributions to the field of Solid Waste Management. The award was presented at the 5th World Environment Summit 2024, an international conference held from November 16-18, 2024, at the NDMC Convention Centre in New Delhi.

The award was presented to Prof. Tripathi by Justice Sudhir Agrawal, the retired judge and current member of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), in the presence of prominent environmentalists, including Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardee Dr. Anil Prakash Joshi.

According to a press release from Nagaland University, Prof . Tripathi is a recognized expert in various fields of environmental management, with a specialization in wastewater treatment, air pollution control, bioremediation, and solid waste management. His research and contributions extend to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular focus on environmental sustainability and resource management.

Prof. Tripathi’s work has made significant strides in advancing practical solutions for waste management, and this award further underscores his dedication and expertise in the field of environmental science.
