MNLU Faculty and Students Participate Actively in National Lok Adalat

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar : A National Lok Adalat (People’s Court) was successfully organized on December 13, 2025, by the Legal Services Authority at the District and Sessions Court, Jalna Road, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, with the objective of providing speedy and amicable resolution of disputes.

Faculty members and students from Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, actively participated in the Lok Adalat as part of their legal aid and community outreach initiatives.


Active Role of MNLU Faculty and Legal Aid Clinic Students

Dr. Shirish Kulkarni, Professor at the University, along with Mr. Deepak Hood, Assistant, and students from the Legal Aid Clinic of MNLU, provided valuable support to litigants visiting the court.
The team guided citizens by:

  • Explaining the Lok Adalat process
  • Assisting them in understanding their legal options
  • Directing them to the appropriate Lok Adalat benches and panels

Their involvement helped ensure smoother coordination and improved access to justice for the public.

The National Lok Adalat was conducted under the guidance and supervision of:

  • Hon’ble Mrs. Phadnis, Secretary, Legal Services Authority, District and Sessions Court
  • Hon’ble Dr. Bindu S. Ronald, Vice-Chancellor, Maharashtra National Law University
  • Hon’ble Dr. Dhanaji Jadhav, Registrar, MNLU, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Their leadership ensured the effective organization and smooth functioning of the Lok Adalat proceedings.
