Maulana Azad College Students Participate Actively in National Voters’ Day Programme

On the occasion of National Voters’ Day, students of Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Aurangabad, actively participated in a special awareness programme organised at the Aurangabad District Collectorate with the aim of promoting voter awareness and democratic participation among youth.

During the programme, student representatives from the college were accorded the honour of inaugurating the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp, along with the Honourable District Collector. Officials from the Election Commission addressed the gathering and provided detailed information about the voting process, stressing the crucial role of young voters in strengthening democracy through informed and active participation.

As part of the celebrations, all participating students were felicitated by the Election Commission officials with garlands and caps bearing the voter symbol, recognizing their enthusiasm and commitment to civic responsibility.

The programme officials expressed special appreciation to the Honourable Principal of Maulana Azad College, Dr. Mazhar Ahmed Farooqui, for his prompt response, cooperation, and continuous support in encouraging student participation in civic initiatives.

On this occasion, Dr. Mujtaba Qadri and Dr. Najeem guided and accompanied the students throughout the programme.

Students who participated in the event included Ayesha Sheikh, Mariyam Khan, Nikhat Latif, Tahreem Sheikh, Shifa Patel, Mantasha Khan, Ansar Qureshi, Ayaan Khan, Hanzla Ansari, Shakib Khan, Armaan Patel, Mir Mohammed, Sheikh Zubair, Azhar Khan, Saima Nasrin, Santosh Sonawane, and Hina Khan.

Following the programme, students expressed their gratitude to Principal Dr. Mazhar Ahmed Farooqui for providing them the opportunity to interact with the Honourable District Collector and participate in the National Voters’ Day celebrations. The Principal later interacted with the students, reviewed the programme, reiterated the importance of voter awareness, and appreciated their enthusiastic and responsible participation.
