IIT Ropar Celebrates International Women’s Day with Empowering Sessions

Ropar, March 10, 2025 – In honor of International Women’s Day, the Women Forum at IIT Ropar has been hosting a week-long series of events from March 7th to March 12th, 2025, focused on empowerment, well-being, and gender inclusivity. On the fourth day of the celebrations, the institute hosted an insightful and engaging session by Ms. Riri G Trivedi, a renowned expert in mental health and positive parenting. The session, titled “Juggling Jobs & Juice Boxes: The Work-Life Balance Act,” provided attendees with valuable insights on managing stress and achieving work-life harmony.

Ms. Trivedi’s talk centered around the impact of stress on the nervous system and practical techniques to manage it. She explained how a dysregulated nervous system can affect both mental and physical health. Through a series of interactive exercises—including humming, chanting, and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFTs)—she demonstrated methods that are proven to reduce stress, improve focus, and restore balance in daily life. These techniques offered participants, including students, faculty, and professionals, practical tools for handling stress effectively.
