IIT Mandi Extends Application Deadline for Unique 5-Year Integrated MBA

Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, May 22, 2025 : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has extended the application deadline for its innovative Five-Year Integrated MBA (IMBA) Program till June 3, 2025. This pioneering program, offered by the School of Management at IIT Mandi, is designed to equip students with the essential skills to thrive in a data-driven and AI-enabled business environment.
The IMBA program offers two degrees—a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Analytics (Honors) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DS&AI)—and allows students to begin their management education journey right after the 12th grade.
The curriculum integrates foundational business education with cutting-edge courses in analytics and artificial intelligence, emphasizing real-world applications. Key features of the program include a semester-long internship, access to IIT Mandi’s incubation centre, and a one-year sabbatical option for students interested in pursuing serious entrepreneurial ventures.
Eligibility Criteria:
- JEE Mains 2025: Applicants must have a final NTA score equal to or above the category-wise cut-off for JEE Advanced 2025 (Paper-1).
- Academic Requirements: Mathematics and English must be part of the 12th-grade curriculum.
- Minimum Marks: 75% in 12th grade (65% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
Admissions Process:
Shortlisting will be based on the JEE Mains 2025 Paper-1 final NTA score. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview. The final selection will be based on a composite score—70% weightage to the JEE Mains score and 30% to the interview performance.
The intake for the academic year 2025–26 has been increased to 72 seats, with 20% reserved for female candidates, including supernumerary seats to promote gender diversity.
This IMBA program is a first-of-its-kind initiative from an IIT, offering a direct pathway to a master’s degree in management for students fresh out of school. It aims to nurture ethical, socially responsible, and technologically adept business leaders for the future.
