IIT Hyderabad Hosts Global Young Scientists Conference 2025
Hyderabad : IIT Hyderabad is hosting the Global Young Academy (GYA) Annual General Meeting and International Conference of Young Scientists for the first time in India. Inaugurated by Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, the event brings together over 200 delegates from 60 countries.

Held in collaboration with GYA, INYAS, and INSA, the conference features thematic sessions on ESG, Health, Industry 5.0, and Innovation. Shri Pradhan highlighted India’s scientific legacy and commitment to inclusive, tech-driven growth under the theme “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”.

Key speakers included Prof. Asutosh Sharma (INSA President), Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy (IITH BoG Chair), and Prof. B.S. Murty (Director, IITH). They emphasized global collaboration, youth empowerment, and science for societal good.
A mega plantation drive of 500+ trees was conducted, and a PMRF research booklet showcasing innovations by IIT Hyderabad scholars was launched. The event fosters global scientific leadership, interdisciplinary research, and environmental responsibility.
