IIM Raipur Celebrates 77th Republic Day with Patriotic Fervour

Celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm, dignity, and patriotic spirit at its campus on Monday. The solemn ceremony was held in front of the Academic Building and was attended by students, faculty members, staff, and their families.
The celebrations commenced with the ceremonial guard fall-in, followed by the inspection of the guard by Dr. Sanjeev Prashar, Director-in-Charge, IIM Raipur. The National Flag was unfurled by the Director-in-Charge, symbolizing India’s democratic values and constitutional ethos. The occasion was further marked by the National Anthem, which filled the campus with a sense of pride and unity.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sanjeev Prashar reflected on India’s evolving national journey, where freedom is deeply intertwined with responsibility and discipline. He highlighted the country’s progress towards inclusive development, driven by technology-enabled governance and people-centric policies that have empowered citizens across diverse sections of society.
Emphasizing key national milestones, he referred to digital financial inclusion, transformative social welfare initiatives, and landmark achievements such as Chandrayaan-3, underscoring the crucial role of education and youth in shaping a confident and self-reliant India. He urged the academic community to balance constitutional rights with civic duties and contribute ethically and responsibly towards the vision of a strong, inclusive India by 2045.
The celebrations also featured a cultural programme by students (tentatively), reflecting themes of patriotism, unity, and national pride. The event concluded with a high tea, providing an opportunity for the IIM Raipur community to interact and celebrate together.
The Republic Day celebration at IIM Raipur reaffirmed the nation’s glorious journey as a sovereign democratic republic and highlighted the Institute’s continued commitment to nation-building through excellence in management education and leadership development.
