IIM Lucknow Rises to 5th Position in NIRF Rankings 2025, 4th Amongst IIMs
Lucknow | September 4, 2025 : The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) has achieved a significant milestone by securing the 5th position in the ‘Management’ category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025, climbing two places from its 7th rank in 2024. Among all IIMs, IIM Lucknow now stands at 4th position.
The 10th edition of NIRF Rankings was released today by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Education, Government of India. This year, institutions were ranked across 17 categories, reflecting India’s growing higher education landscape.
Congratulating institutions at the event, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said, “The expansion of NIRF Rankings reflects India’s diversity in higher education. A robust framework not only enhances competitiveness but also contributes to nation-building. Building institutions of global repute is important, but making them instruments of national development is equally critical.”
Welcoming the achievement, Prof. M.P. Gupta, Director, IIM Lucknow, remarked, “This recognition underscores our commitment to academic excellence, impactful research, and global engagement. It is a tribute to the collective efforts of our faculty, students, staff, and alumni. We see this as a stepping stone toward greater global recognition and deeper contributions to society and industry.”
