Kit Distribution Programme as the Chief Guest

Shimla : Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, under the dynamic leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, continues to strengthen its commitment to women empowerment, skill development, and social upliftment.

Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena graced a Kit Distribution Programme as the Chief Guest, organized by Helping Hand NGO in collaboration with Tata Power and Usha International. The initiative aimed at promoting self-employment among women by distributing essential livelihood resources, including sewing machines, to support small-scale entrepreneurial ventures.

Over 100 Women Participate in Empowerment Initiative

The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than 100 women, reflecting a strong collective aspiration toward economic independence and skill-based entrepreneurship. The event was marked by motivation, encouragement, and a shared vision of inclusive growth.


VC’s Address: Focus on Self-Reliance & Lifelong Learning

Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena emphasized the critical role of self-reliance, continuous skill upgradation, and financial independence in women’s empowerment.

She encouraged the beneficiaries to:

  • Continuously enhance and diversify their skills
  • Adopt a lifelong learning mindset
  • Move beyond self-employment and become trainers and mentors within their communities
