HPNLU, Shimla Celebrates 77th Republic Day
With Patriotic Zeal and Constitutional Commitment

Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with solemnity, dignity, and patriotic fervour at its university campus on Monday.
The celebrations began with the unfurling of the National Flag by Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, HPNLU, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The ceremony was attended by faculty members, officers, and staff of the University.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena highlighted the historical significance of Republic Day and reiterated the enduring relevance of the Constitution of India as the foundation of the nation’s democratic framework. She emphasized the core constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, stressing their importance in sustaining a vibrant and inclusive democracy.
The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor underscored the vital role of national law universities in nurturing constitutional awareness, ethical leadership, and respect for the rule of law. She also acknowledged the dedicated contributions of faculty members and non-teaching staff in fostering academic excellence and maintaining institutional integrity.

Calling upon the university community to reaffirm its commitment to nation-building, Prof. Saxena emphasized the importance of education, research, and community engagement in strengthening democratic values.
