Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Signs MoU with ICAR–National Research Centre on Camel
Collaboration to strengthen research, training and innovation in animal husbandry and veterinary sciences
Ludhiana : Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Research Centre on Camel (ICAR–NRCC), Bikaner to promote and accelerate research, training and technical collaboration in the field of animal husbandry and veterinary sciences.
The MoU was formally signed by Dr. P.S. Brar, Director of Research, GADVASU, and Dr. Anil Kumar Punia, Director, ICAR–NRCC, Bikaner, in the august presence of Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice Chancellor, GADVASU.

Congratulating both the institutions, Vice Chancellor Dr. J.P.S. Gill described the agreement as an excellent example of academia–research partnership aimed at addressing real-world challenges in animal health and production through scientific innovation and collaborative efforts.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anil Kumar Punia highlighted that ICAR–NRCC is committed to camel conservation, breeding and propagation across the country and expressed keen interest in strengthening long-term research and technical cooperation with GADVASU.
The event was attended by Deans, Directors, scientists of the University, along with officials from ICAR–NRCC, Bikaner, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration between the two premier institutions.
As per the agreement, the MoU will be implemented through jointly developed work plans. Both institutes have agreed to promote cooperation through exchange of scientists, students and technologists, as well as by the development and execution of collaborative research projects in identified priority areas.
This partnership is expected to significantly contribute to advanced research, capacity building and innovation in veterinary and animal sciences at the national level.
