GADVASU Student Qualifies for National Inter-University Youth Festival at Sathyabhama University

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) has once again brought laurels to the institution as Rijul Sharma, a BVSc & AH student, qualified to compete in the Collage Making event at the National Inter-University Youth Festival to be held at Sathyabhama University, Chennai, from March 10 to 14, 2026.
While felicitating the winners in his office, Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor, GADVASU, congratulated the students and faculty for their untiring efforts and hard work, which enabled the university to achieve recognition at the state, zonal, and national levels.

Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Assistant Director Publications and Welfare Officer, GADVASU, informed that Rijul Sharma was part of the 60-member GADVASU contingent that participated in the 39th AIU Inter-University North Zone Youth Festival 2025, held at Chitkara University, Rajpura.
Leading the contingent, Dr. Daljeet Kaur and Dr. S. S. Hassan, Assistant Professors at GADVASU, stated that the university secured six positions and participated in fifteen events across Dance, Theatre, Music, Literary, and Fine Arts categories.
At the zonal level, Rijul Sharma secured third position in Collage Making, while Khushneet Kaur earned two fifth positions in Elocution (English) and Debate (English). Jeet Verma stood fifth in Debate (English), Ishnoor Kaur secured fifth position in Clay Modelling, and Puneet Rehaan achieved fifth place in Poster Making. The One-Act Play team from the College of Veterinary Science and College of Animal Biotechnology also secured fifth position.

Dr. Nidhi Sharma further highlighted that the GADVASU contingent competed against over 1,000 students from 21 universities across North India.
Dr. Rabinder Singh Aulakh, Director, Students’ Welfare, GADVASU, emphasized that such platforms provide students with opportunities for overall personality development, complementing their academic excellence.
