Financial Literacy Awareness Programme Held for Villagers of Sacorda Panchayat by Goa Multi-Faculty College

Sacorda, Goa : SPES’s Goa Multi-Faculty College, Dharbandora, in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Panaji Branch and Village Panchayat Sacorda, organized a Financial Literacy Awareness Programme for the villagers of Sacorda Panchayat. The event took place at Smt. Hirabai Talaulikar High School Hall, Sacorda, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The awareness session focused on empowering the villagers with crucial financial knowledge. Key topics included:

  1. RBI’s Role: Educating attendees about the Reserve Bank of India’s pivotal role in regulating the country’s financial system.
  2. Currency Awareness: Guidelines on currency exchange rules and techniques to identify counterfeit notes.
  3. Fraud Prevention: Steps to prevent financial fraud and procedures for filing complaints in case of fraud incidents.
  4. NABARD’s Contributions: Insights into the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development’s schemes for agricultural development.
