CUKashmir Organises Women’s Health Camp under Swachhta Hi Seva 2025
Ganderbal As part of the ongoing Swachhta Hi Seva 2025 campaign and Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan, the Directorate of Students Welfare (DSW), National Service Scheme (NSS), and the Health Centre of Central University of Kashmir (CUK) jointly organised a Health Camp for Women on Tuesday.
The camp featured a lecture on Awareness on Health and Hygiene by the varsity’s Medical Officer Dr. Abid Ahmad Sofi, who highlighted the importance of a healthy lifestyle and addressed issues such as anaemia and PCOS.

During the camp, Dr. Sheeba Nazir, Medical Attendant Mr. Javid Ali, and MTSS Mr. Suhail Shafi conducted free health check-ups, consultations, and counselling sessions. Free medicines and customised diet charts were also distributed to students and staff.
As part of Sewa Parv activities, sanitary kits were handed over to female hygiene workers by Dr. Sheeba Nazir and Dr. Rehana Shawl, promoting improved hygiene practices.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Shabir Ahmad Ahanger, NSS Programme Coordinator and Associate Professor of Mathematics.
