Assam Skill University receives enthusiastic response from students in three days for admissions for the academic session 2025-26
Guwahati : Assam Skill University (ASU) kickstarted its admission process for the Academic Session 2025–26 on July 1, 2025 with the first round of counselling held at its City Campus, located within the ITI Guwahati Complex, opposite Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute, Birubari, Guwahati.
The process continued on 2nd July (Wednesday) and 4th July (Friday) for other programs, reflecting the growing appeal of the University’s skill-integrated education model.
“We are delighted to welcome the new batch of students who have chosen Assam Skill University as the foundation of their academic and professional journey,” said Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Deka, Academic Head of ASU. “The response on the first day is a testament to the confidence the youth are placing in skill-based education. At ASU, we are committed to nurturing talent by integrating academic excellence with practical skills aligned to industry needs. Our mission is to empower students with employability, innovation, and purpose, in alignment with the vision of a skilled and self-reliant Assam.”
Prof. Deka also expressed gratitude to the Chancellor Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and Vice Chancellor Subhash Chandra Das, IAS (Retd.), for their visionary leadership and continuous support in driving the University’s mission forward.
This admission phase is a major stride toward ASU’s objective of making higher education more accessible, skill-focused, and employment-oriented.
