A Grand Success Across Three Days

New Delhi : The IEEE Region 10 Symposium (TENSYMP) 2024, a prestigious three-day event organized by the IEEE Delhi Section in collaboration with Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), focused on the theme “Technological Innovations for Socio-economic and Healthcare Causes.” A resounding success, the conference featured distinguished dignitaries including Dr V Narayanan, Director of ISRO’s Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), Er R K Tyagi, Chief Manager of Powergrid, and Mr S R Narasimhan, CMD of Grid-India.

Senior IEEE members such as Mr Deepak Mathur, IEEE Vice President of Member and Geographic Activities, and Prof Lance Fung, IEEE Region 10 Director, were also in attendance. Spanning three days from September 27th to 29th, the symposium attracted invaluable leaders, researchers and innovators to deliberate on the latest advancements in technology.

The symposium commenced with registration at WelcomHotel, Dwarka, where over 300 delegates gathered. The opening ceremony featured keynote speeches by eminent figures, including Prof Anand Srivastava and Mr Deepak Mathur. This was followed by a panel discussion on the “Progressive Development in the Power Sector”, highlighting opportunities and challenges in this critical domain. Engr Sangeeta Kaushik delivered an inspiring talk at the Women in Engineering (WIE) plenary session. The day concluded with a vibrant cultural program showcasing India’s rich heritage, leaving delegates captivated.

Insights and Innovations at NSUT

The second day shifted to the NSUT campus, where the APJ Complex buzzed with multiple parallel sessions on electronics systems and their future in India’s manufacturing landscape. A mock interview session conducted by academia and industry experts provided students with valuable feedback. The highlight of the day was a panel discussion on tech-driven solutions for a better future, curated by WIE. The event offered a rich mix of technical paper presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions which encouraged collaboration between industry experts and entrepreneurs.

Closing Ceremony

The final day focused on artificial intelligence’s impact on the digital world. A dedicated disaster management workshop for school students was also a standout. The event concluded with the valedictory ceremony and certificate distribution, recognizing the exceptional contributions of participants. Hands-on workshops and research showcases enriched the experience, fostering innovation in key areas.

TENSYMP 2024 has once again positioned NSUT as a hub of innovation and excellence in technological research. The conference’s success was attributed to the visionary leadership of NSUT’s Vice-Chancellor Prof Anand Srivastava, and the organizing committee led by Prof Prerna Gaur and Prof Subrata Mukhopadhyay as co-chairs along with Dr Anuradha Tomar who was part of the event management committee. TENSYMP 2024 proved to be a pivotal platform for knowledge exchange and technological advancement.
